Nakkila
Nakkila, surrounded by fertile fields, is widely known e.g. for its lamperns and rocking chairs, the latter representing traditional artisan skills. The Kokemäenjoki River that flows through the municipality offers excellent possibilities for e.g. fishing.

The Kokemäenjoki River flows through Nakkila in a deep channel and its banks are covered by fertile groves. Canoeing and boating take you close to nature. The river flows rapidly towards the Pori delta; you can experience the power of the river and the peace of nature at the same time. The rapids in Nakkila are excellent fishing grounds.
The beautiful buildings of the Villilä mansion and the charming mansion milieu now serve the modern movie and TV industry and media education. The main building also hosts banquets. Tappuritapahtuma, organised on a weekend in August, brings the bustle and sound of work machines to the surroundings of the sports centre. The event presents old work machines and ways of working. And children will get fudge candies!
Nakkila is also known for its amateur actors and accordion players. The Nakkilan Napakat amateur theatre prepares a play every summer, and this year it is Veikko Huovinen's ”Simpauttaja”. In addition, in the spring season the play ”Kolme pientä rosvoa” is performed. Nakkilan seudun harmonikat/ the accordion players in the Nakkila region organise Accordion week every autumn. The week culminates in a major concert where, in addition to the Finnish accordion, you can hear the French musette.
The Nakkila church (1937) was designed by architect Erkki Hutttunen. It is the first functionalistic church in Finland. It is also one of Finland’s road churches. The church hall architecture is also interesting.
