Guided services: Luvia

1. The historical Luvia
Route: Esso service station – the local history museum – the church – the town hall – the school centre– the graveyard and the chapel – the library – the Luvianlahti Bay - Esso
The guide will join the group at the Esso service station
Total duration: ca. 3 hours
Price: guide’s services €90 (+ coffee and lunch)
NB! the group must have its own bus.

Departure from the service station. During the trip a short overview of the history of Luvia. Visit to the local history museum, where we will have a coffee break. A guided tour during which we will see the church, the town hall and the school buildings. A visit to the graveyard and the chapel. The tour will continue along the Church road to highway no 8. We will return to the service station where the guide will leave take his or her leave of the group.

2. The marine Luvia
Route: Esso service station – Luodonkylä – Lemlahti – Fishing company Valtanen – Laitakari –Esso
The guide will join the group at the Esso service station
Total duration: ca. 3 hours
Price: guide’s services €90 (+ coffee and lunch)
NB! the group must have its own bussi

An overview of the marine history of Luvia and the importance of fishing now and then. Village landscapes can be admired during the tour of Luodonkylä. In Lemlahti we will visit the Valtanen Fishing company, where various fish products and fresh fish can be bought.
Laitakari. The traditional sailing ship, Ihana.
Lunch.

3. Churches in Luvia
Route: Esso service station – church – graveyard – Kirkkotie, highway number 8 – Esso
The guide will join the group at the Esso service station

A guided tour of the centre of Luvia
A visit to the church
A visit to the cemetery (on foot) and to the chapel
Lunch.
The possibility to go shopping.
The tour will continue along Kirkkotie (the Church route) and highway no 8. Return to Esso.

Route: Esso – highway no 8 - Peränkylä – back to the centre of Luvia along the Church route (kirkkotie) – Laitakari - Esso
The guide will join the group at the Esso service station

Welcome to Peränkylä, Luvia.
Coffee is served at the village society’s shed, where you will also hear stories of the village’s past and present.
A guided tour through the village centre to Laitakari.
Sailing ship Ihana.
Lunch.
A visit to the church or to the chapel.
Return to Esso.
