Churches are worth visiting both for their architecture and beautiful paintings.

Central Pori Church
	Central Pori Church is the oldest and biggest church of the evangelical Lutheran congregation in Pori. The church is located in the national city park, right in the centre of the city by the Kokemäenjoki River. More information on the church can be. The Ahlainen church
	The Ahlainen church was built by Salomon Köykkä-Köhlström in 1796. The sanctuary, on 2 levels, was enlarged in 1908 according to the cruciform church design of architect Josef Stenbäck. More information on the church can be found on the web pages of the Pori Evangelic Lutheran Congregation.

The Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Church in Pori is located at the address, Maantienkatu 46, directly opposite the Käppärä graveyard and the Juselius Mausoleum. It was completed and inaugurated in September 2002 and is dedicated to the memory of the Holy Apostle, Evangelist John the Theologian. The head designer was an orthodox priest and architect, Matti Porkka from Tornio. Margit Lintu, an icon painter from Tampere, painted the iconostasis in the church. The Reposaari church
	The Norwegian style church at Reposaari was built in 1876. In front of the church is Wäinö Aaltonen's sculpture, a memorial to the S2 torpedo ship which sank off the Reposaari shore. More information on the church can be found on the web pages of the Pori Evangelic Lutheran Congregation.
